Small's Ragwort on the Edge of the Croatan National Forest

Small's Ragwort (Packera anonyma) is a flowering herb found in the Southeastern and lower Northeastern United States. Also know as Appalachian Ragwort, Plain Ragwort, and Southern Ragwort, this wildflower is a member of the Aster family.

This photograph was captured along the edge of the Croatan National Forest in rural Craven county, North Carolina. It was sharing the area with numerous Oxeye Daisies. This is a common wildflower found throughout the state.
