Sunset at Long Creek - Carteret County North Carolina

I came across this scene while exploring Adams Creek Road in rural Carteret county, North Carolina. The sun setting behind the scene throws a lovely golden light on the view. A private dock juts out into the water. It is easy to imagine a child or two sitting on the little pier hoping to catch a fish while dreaming of pirate adventures! A heathty brackish marsh lines the opposite side of the creek. Trees are reflected in the mirror like water. Such is life in rural eastern North Carolina.
