Handrail Shadow on Sidewalk Abstract

While exploring Union Point Park in New Bern, North Carolina I noticed the pattern made by the shadow of a handrail on the sidewalk. Combined with the textures of the walk surface I thought it would make an interesting abstract photo. The walkway parallels the river. The park is located where the Neuse and Trenton rivers join. New Bern was the first capital of North Carolina. The park was once little more than a boat ramp and parking lot. The city has since developed it into a nice recreational area with tetured walking paths, lots of grassy areas, picnic tables and a lovely Gazebo. One of the popular activities is feeding and observing the ducks that congregate along the river's edge at the park.
